Recipe of the Week: Hot Wings

A few weeks ago, Matt asked for chicken tenders with hot sauce for dinner. That request led me to Google “bw3’s hot sauce recipe”. And what I found was liquid gold.

Over at Meemo’s Kitchen, there’s are recipes for a good handful of Buffalo Wild Wing’s sauces. We’ve been making the hot wing sauce, and oh my, is it delicious!

After a few weeks of hot sauce goodness, I decided to branch out and try making my own wings. They turned out surprisingly good! All you need are raw chicken drummettes & wings, butter, and flour.

Rinse and pat dry the chicken. Put some flour in a ziploc bag. Throw the chicken in the bag and shake it like a Polaroid picture… bad joke. So put the chicken on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least one hour.

Preheat the oven to 375*. Melt some butter in a bowl, then give the chicken pieces a quick butter bath. Toss em back on the cookie sheet and bake for 45 minutes, turning once. I’ve been baking them on a cooling rack sitting on the baking sheet to keep the chicken from sitting in its own juices.

Once the chicken is done, just toss em in a bowl with some of the hot sauce and enjoy!
