Katie has turned 8 months and ohmygosh can we slow down the clock a bit? Now that the holiday season is upon us, it’s going to be 2013 before we know it and then Katie will be going off to college.
Ok, not college, but moving out of the infant room at daycare to the first young toddlers room. Ohmygosh my baby!
So, 8 months. Katie is working extremely hard on learning to crawl. She can push up and get on her knees, rock back and forth, and scoot forwards. She also has started scooting a little bit on her bum. And she’s started to try to pull up, but thankfully only on us in order to get into our laps or be held. Which, ohmygosh, I just about die from the cuteness.
On the verbal front, we’ve got ma-ma, da-da, ba-ba, la-la and some other undetermined consonant sounds.
She has been a super star sleeper lately, probably because she barely naps at daycare. We usually get at least 12 hours at night out of her. On the weekends she tends to make up for missed naps from the week.
She eats 4 bottles a day, 8 oz each. Solids usually twice a day. Katie has been doing well on eating puffs; she has been figuring out how to move them around in her mouth and gum them. We’ll be starting more finger foods this weekend – probably peas and carrots.
We’re still in size 3 diapers during the day, size 4 at night (though we’re having nighttime leak issues). Katie’s 9 month (Carter’s) sized onesies are getting a bit snug.
Time, you need to stop a-flyin!
